We met Swiss process-oriented psychologists Ekaterina and Raini in Zurich. Raini Hauser has been working with clients from Russia and Ukraine for decades.

Open Forums are public gatherings aimed at fostering public dialogue and addressing polarizing issues, building community by bringing together different people and perspectives.

This space is created to listen, to agree and disagree, to support direct non-violent interactions between participants. Open forums draw attention to the need for relationships between people with opposing viewpoints to increase understanding of others' experiences and reduce hostility in the community.
The facilitation methodology of open forums was developed in detail by Arnold Mindell, a doctor of psychology from the United States. The focus of the facilitator is to realize that helping the world is in knowing oneself, not in seeking change.
Open forums are one of the most powerful forms of dialog that come from antiquity. It is a free space between “truth” and “untruth”, “right” and “wrong”, “bad” and “good”, “our” and “enemy”, where everyone involved has the opportunity to express their thoughts and emotions, to express their pain, aggression, depression, joy, anger, gratitude - everything that will allow the group to manifest different voices and opinions, to discover hot spots, to clarify polarities, to move past conflicts, to become closer to each other and to move forward.
